Process

Rough sketches for the possible cover. The first sketch is always fast and rough mostly to capture the feel and composition. Then the second sketch I really try to pull a fierce and dynamic detail, which consists of listening to a lots of "Bad Brains". The final inks is where I really lose myself in, taking care to pull out attention to detail.

Koi Blackheart

Koi is one of the main characters in the book. Hellbent on killing "Presage" and anyone who stands in her way.

Sketches

These are process sketches I go through putting together ideas for color schemes and compostions.

This piece is one of the promo pieces I created. The character entering a realm of darkness.

Original Cover

The original cover for the "test" book. I am updating the feel and look. Trying to focus on the control of color and get to a more emotional color palette.

Logo

This is the original logo design I did for the first "test" issue. I really like the lightening bolt shooting through the letters. But, I kinda want to re-design the logo to something with more movement.
